Can you believe that New Rochelle has laid off three parking ticket writers?  Living in the downtown area I have gotten to know most of them pretty well - at least by face.  One kind one kept me out of jail when I tried to ruin my life one day and others are kind to merchants and visitors.  New Rochelle mostly works on keeping the roads clear by ticketing congested streets justifiably and gives customers a break by not writing tickets within seconds of violations.  It is hard to believe that parking ticket writers don’t bill more than they cost so things must be really really bad in New Ro.
